Customer Service Executive Position

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Customer Service Executive
Location: Ogba, Lagos
Job Type: Full Time.

Job Description

Ensure timely and accurate sales delivery process and information flow, while providing exceptional customer service within the value chain.

Responsibilities and Duties

Ensure smooth and timely process flow
Ensure timely processing of lead collected from marketers (digital and conventional).
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system
Track and trace shipments as required
Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, trucking companies, and others)
Always meet compliance to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer's policies / requirements.
Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency
Ensure all customers' standard operating procedures are followed and updated
Meet KPI standards, as per the company procedures
Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external).
Utilize Process Monitors and Workflows on daily basis
Ensure timely movement and delivery of freight to customers
Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes
Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing
Interact with our customers in arranging their shipments, exceeding customer service expectations

Qualifications

HND (Upper Credit) or University Degree (2:2)
6 months to 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pro-active, strong organizational skills.
Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Fluent in English
Applicant must be resident around Ogba, Ikeja, Agege, Ojodu, Omole, Obawole, Egbeda, Abule-Egba, Ketu, Iju/Ishaga, Oko Oba, Egbeda, Iyana Ipaja, Fagba. Applicant travel distance to Valuehandlers, Ogba office should not be more than 12 kilometer.
Possesses right temperament to handle customers, professionally.

Job Description

The business development executive of a shipping and logistics company like our, will be responsible for overseeing the process of business development within, and to promote Valuehandlers longevity.
Our business development executive duties include working closely with other company executives and management teams, meeting with potential business partners and maintaining existing client relationships and monitoring market trends to come up with new business opportunities.
This individual should be a motivated customer sales representative with experience and an entrepreneurial spirit.
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive to join our shipping and logistics company- Valuehandlers.
The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years of experience in the shipping and logistics industry with a strong background in freight forwarding.
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to increase revenue, market share, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Identify and qualify new business opportunities through research, networking, and prospecting.
Develop and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients, including other stakeholders.
Collaborate with the customer service / sales team to develop proposals and presentations that align with clients' business needs and objectives.
Participate in industry events and conferences to promote the company and build relationships with potential clients.
Prepare and present business development reports to senior management on a regular basis.
Collaborate with other departments, including customer service / sales, operations, finance, and new media, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.
Assist in securing new business(es).
Responsible for selling Freight Forwarding services for Imports and Exports
Generate action plans to enhance performance.
Develop and maintain relationships with customers and clients.
Work alongside the operations team keeping informed of client plans and challenges being faced.
Organizing marketing plans.
Be ready to work and / or be deployed to work for our other business subsidiaries.

Requirements

Candidates should possess HND / B.Sc / M.Sc Degrees with 3 - 5 years relevant work experience.
Age: 25 - 35 years.

Skills Required:

Background in Freight Forwarding/Shipping and Logistics will be an added advantage.
Experience in Air, Ocean & Road freight sales will be an added advantage.
Strong communication skills
Ability to direct and be a mentor for the sales team.
Commercially minded.
IT literate including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and basic digital marketing knowledge.
Exceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentation, proposal and closes.
Provide documented activity reports of your sales efforts on a weekly, and monthly basis.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 Monthly.
